Finance Assistant

Overview:
The Minnesota DFL House Caucus is seeking a committed individual to support an aggressive finance operation to win back the DFL majority in the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2026. This is a full time position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Job duties include: 

  • Assist in the development and execution of a multi-faceted short and long-term finance plan that maximizes multiple revenue streams. 

  • Manage and oversee multiple finance data management databases and systems

  • Import Act-Blue donations into NGP

  • Process PCR receipts

  • Prep and load blast emails

  • Manage call time sessions for DFL House Caucus Members and execute all follow-up 

  • Plan, schedule, and execute DFL House Caucus and individual member fundraising events.

  • Assist in the creation of event invitations for both DFL House Caucus events and individual member events.

  • Communicate with members regarding upcoming events, call sheets, call time, and other items as needed. 

  • Work with the Development Director and compliance consultant to prepare state finance reports for the DFL House Caucus. 

  • Recruit and supervise interns to assist with all aspects of the fundraising program

  • Improve and maintain accurate records in the finance databases. 

  • Oversee and manage donor research projects. 

  • Prep and print thank you letters


Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to electing DFLers to state government. 

  • Minimum one cycle statewide, congressional, or state & local campaign as a finance assistant or call time manager preferred.

  • Strong experience and superior aptitude working with NGP software is a must.

  • Experience with databases and technology systems with an emphasis on Excel and Google Suite preferred

  • Experience in and knowledge of the political landscape and key people and organizations in Minnesota a plus. 

  • Lives in or willing to relocate to Minnesota. . 

  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects. 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Salary & Benefits: Salary range $45K - $55K per year, health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and other benefits included.
